Helical Pier

Helical piers are a popular and effective foundation solution that offer several benefits over traditional foundation methods. Firstly, they can be installed quickly and with minimal disturbance to the surrounding area, making them ideal for use in areas with limited space or where there are existing structures. Helical piers also provide superior support and stability, as they are designed to distribute the weight of the structure evenly across the soil. This means that they can be used to support a wide range of structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Additionally, helical piers are resistant to the effects of moisture and environmental factors, making them a durable and reliable solution that can last for decades with little maintenance. Overall, the use of helical piers can provide significant benefits in terms of cost, efficiency, and performance, making them a popular choice for many construction projects.

Helical Piers have many benefits that make them competitive against other deep foundation technologies!  Here are some of the few reasons Helical Piers stand out.

  • Size: Helical Piers use a much smaller working footprint then Caisson or Auger piles. They can be installed in tighter areas using smaller drill rigs and take up less storage on job sites.
  • Speed: Helical Piers can be installed much faster than other deep foundation technologies. Between Larger equipment, curing time, weather delays, etc. The Helical Pier goes into the ground with no delay. At a rate of 15 rpm’s and an advancement of 3” per revolution, a typical 30’ section can be completed in about 10 minutes!
  • Cost: Helical Piers take much less time to install than other deep foundation Technologies. They can also be loaded immediately after install, compared to other technologies that may need to be curated and tested before moving on to the next step in your plan.
  • Vibration and Noise: helical Piers produce little to no vibration during installation. This minimizes the chance of possible damage to existing structures from the movement of soil. Vibration and noise can disturb surrounding areas/buildings and the people in them. Helical piers can prevent disturbance and even damage to surrounding areas.
